Trabenco significa «TRABajadores EN Cooperativa». El nostre col·legi públic va néixer el curs 1972-1973 en un barri obrer de Leganés. Les persones d’aquell lloc van construir un model de barri i d’escola basat en la solidaritat, la coresponsabilitat i l’horitzontalitat i on tothom era important. Va ser una veu crítica i alliberadora davant l’opressió del franquisme i un traç educatiu de color artístic, literari i avantguardista en una Espanya de color gris cendra…
